Here at Tipi Wedding Company, we LOVE festival themed weddings! We had one ourself and we get a little bit too excited when couples enquire with us telling us they’re wanting to do the same! Here’s our first (of probably many!) guides on things you should probably consider for the ultimate Tipi WEDFEST! If you fancy planning one yourself, we’d absolutely love to be a part of it and are here to help make it happen!
TIPI WEDFEST ESSENTIALS
Send out with your save the dates/invitations, or have in a tub ready for your guest’s arrival – festival wristbands are an awesome addition to a WEDFEST in every single way! These are also a great, un-traditional idea for ‘favours’ should you want to include them in your day. This is a company we absolutely love, too… they are literally called wedfest! You can check out their wristbands and a whole load of other festival wedding gear on this website, or purchase directly from eBay! https://www.wedfest.co/
Side note: don’t go rushing to buy yourself a wristband just yet… if you’re booking us as your tipi provider… that is! *Shhh!*
If you’ve had a look at our awesome extras brochure, you’ll know these festival flags are a new addition to our brochure! At 3.4m tall, they are giant rainbow-coloured festival flags that offer the perfect entrance to a festival themed wedding. We love them so much, how cool do they look?! Have them at the entrance to your venue as a whole or positioned in front of the tipis. They could be an alternative to our festoon lit walkway, or just dotted around your field.
Dry Hire Field with Camping
Because nothing says ‘festival’ than arriving to a field with the intention of camping for the weekend! Wedding weekends are becoming increasingly popular and we ourselves wish we’d have done it! Picture an August bank holiday weekend, getting married on the Saturday, partying through to Sunday and enjoying breakfast with your favourite people the next day. So many venues offer camping pitches on-site, including those we work with over on our venues page!
You also don’t have to be stuck in a two man tent, bell tents are an amazing alternative for that little bit of luxury on your wedding night. These were used at Chloe and Ade’s wedding at Furtho Manor Farm in 2019 from Boutique Party Tent Hire.
Campervan Transport (and photobooth!)
Have you even been to a festival if you don’t spot the campervans set up on your way to the muddy tent pitch you’ve booked for 3 nights? Well, on your wedding day – you can enjoy a beautiful campervan in more than one way! This gorgeous campervan is a converted photobooth meets transport option, so not only can they take you from wherever you’re getting ready on your wedding morning, but they’ll stick around at your venue for some awesome entertainment!
These are some photos from our own wedding, you can find out about The Campervan Wedding Company here: https://thecampervanweddingco.com/
A festival essential! This way to the toilets, this way to the booze. This way to camping, this was to the dance floor! This is the perfect DIY to do from home on a budget (and there are some gorgeous ones on Pinterest if you have a little browse!) Order of the day palettes are also a really cool idea to welcome your guests to your wedding so they know exactly what it’s going to entail! Lots of fun, of course.
We hope this post gets you started on planning the ultimate wedding festival / WEDFEST! It’s an awesome theme for any outdoor wedding, but a tipi gives you an incredibly wow-factor venue to really add to the feel of the day. If you fancy a tipi for your WEDFEST, we’d love to be considered for your special day! You can get in touch with us about an amazing tipi wedding, by clicking here!
